Business Certificates (DBA)
Whenever conducting a business under a name other than your own or if incorporated other than a named corporation, you must obtain a “Doing Business As” certificate from the Town Clerk in the Town where the business is located. The D/B/A certificate is maintained as a public file which allows consumers to identify and locate the proprietor.

In North Andover, the filing fee for a D/B/A certificate is $40.00. The certificate must be renewed every four years.
The North Andover Communications Center is updating records of business establishments in Town. They maintain confidential records to contact business owners or representatives in the event of an emergency situation that requires an immediate response or immediate contact with the person responsible for the establishment.
