Site assignment and inspection of solid and sewage waste facilities
Permitting or licensing of dumpsters, private wells, animals, trash trucks, septic trucks, tobacco sales, frozen dessert establishments, funeral directors, septic installers, massage therapists, tanning establishments, food establishments, public pools & spas, mobile food vendors, body art establishments, funeral directors, trash trucks, etc.

Review of septic plans, restaurant plans, pools, massage, body art floor plans Subdivision review
COMMUNICABLE DISEASE CONTROL 
Report, investigate and control the spread of communicable diseases
Provide tuberculosis screening and case management
Provide communicable disease surveillance
Perform bird collections for West Nile Virus surveillance
HOME VISITS
Provide home visits for nursing care to frail elderly and shut-ins
Provide influenza and pneumonia immunizations for homebound residents
Make referrals to appropriate health care and social agencies
HEALTH PROMOTION
Sponsor periodic blood drives
Educate vendors and regulate the use and sale of tobacco products to minors
Offer blood sugar screening clinics
Educate food handlers on food code
