PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE -

                                      COMPREHENSIVE WASTE WATER PLAN

PUBLIC MEETING NOTICE ON PROVIDING SEWERS IN SPECIFIC AREAS OF TOWN

The Town of North Andover, Division of Public Works, on behalf of the Board of Selectmen, is seeking input on the possibility of providing Town sewer to the following areas: Bannon Drive; Jay Road; Johnson Street; (Mark Road to Rea Street); Rea Street (Chestnut to Abbott Street); Salem Street (Anne Road to Nutmeg Lane); and, Northcross Road.  To provide input attendance is requested at a Public Meeting to be held in the Senior Center behind Town Hall at 120 Main Street on Wednesday, March 25, 2009 at 6:30 PM.

This meeting is being held as part of the planning process for extending the sewer system to areas of the Town currently being serviced by on-site septic systems.  The planning process has been taking place over the past two years in what is know as a Comprehensive Wastewater Management Planning (CWMP) Process.  The results of this planning process have defined a phased priority list of areas where sewer may be extended.  The area described above, referred to as the Encapsulated Areas, is one of the first phase priorities. These areas are referred to as encapsulated since sewers exist in all areas adjacent to these areas.  The other high priority phase is the Osgood Street Corridor.

Other information concerning the planning process is on the Town’s web site at www.townofnorthandover.com, click on the link for the CWMP on the Home Page.  Also, please do not hesitate to contact Bruce D. Thibodeau, Direct of the Division of Public Works at (978) 685-0950 or at bthibodeau@townofnorthandover.com.

This are an important decisions that may effect you and could provide greet benefits we hope to see you on March 25th.
