The Town of North Andover is updating its Open Space Plan and a very important part of the plan is to gather input from residents to guide the plan and to help establish the plans’ goals and objectives. In order to gather input, a survey has been designed to allow residents to give their opinions regarding the importance of the maintenance and preservation of open space and natural resource areas. Residents will be asked their opinion regarding the protection of existing resources as well as the possibility of creating a bond fund to protect additional resources in town, including open space, farmland, recreational areas and scenic views.
The survey will be available starting Tuesday, January 19, 2010 through Friday, February 12, 2010. The results of the survey will be compiled and made available to the public. The results will be incorporated into the Open Space Plan and will guide the town’s Open Space goals for the near future.
